          Develop and execute test strategies to ensure the network exceeds 5 NINEs reliability, Accessibility & Integrity KPIs. Generate control & media traffic based on usage models involving 100K cell phones and 1K network elements consisting of linux, windows, databases and virtual machines. 

          Characterize the  of LTE device user experience (eg: Latency) and Operator experience (eg: KPIs) during busy hour & major incident / Accident

Major accomplishments:

          Optimized test program by analyzing and eliminating over-lapping test scenarios/activities.

          Developed and Implemented location strategy. Developed India center capabilities and offloaded functional testing to India. 

          Mentored many engineers in India center and helped it take ownership of the CDMA E2E testing.   · Developed and deployed automation test environment that improves cycle time by 24X.

          Developed an EV-DO air interface monitoring tool using C thereby reducing Motorola’s reliance on external and costly tools

Responsibilities:

          Responsible for design, planning and execution of integration & testing of the BTS and CBSC for  CDMA and PDC networks.

          Responsible to develop and deploy automatic test case generation and execution technology.

          Responsible for analyzing escape defects and improve test program to reduce escape-defects

 

Major accomplishments:

          Pioneered the use of SDL modeling and simulation for automatic generation of test cases.

          Developed tool that executes test cases written as MSC (Message Sequence Chart). This tool resulted in a 12X decrease in test execution cycle time.

          Developed a MSC simulator (Mobile switching center). It connects to the PSTN and the cellular RF infrastructure thereby creating a cellular network. Currently used by many groups around the world.

          Introduced many new techniques of software testing like error-leg testing, step-regression testing, iterative testing, random selection etc.

          Planned and executed many test programs that caught numerous system defects.

          Worked closely with system engineers, developers and customers to resolve complex issues.
